INjury to Jin Young Ko's Wrist Did Not Slow Down Korean Star's Performance at LA OPEN

Jin Young Ko Says She Missed Week of Practice Due to Wrist Injury during LA Open

                                                                                 _________________________________________________
An injury to her wrist did not stop Jin Young Ko from catapulting herself to a second place finish at the LA Open last week.
Ko said she was practicing and hitting balls before the open when she felt a pain in her left wrist that wouldn't go away.
The pain persisted for the rest of her week. With the exception of some putting before one of her tee times Ko said she did not practice at all during the week of the open.
Despite a lack of practice and her painful wrist, Ko was able to put together an impressive performance at the LA Open –  jumping from ninth in the first round (at four under par) up to second place in the second and third rounds of the tournament.

In the third round alone Ko managed to rack up nine birdies and finished the tournament in a two way tie for second at 14 under par.
Ko said she was not able to see a doctor following her injury.

Ko told reporters at the HSBC Championship that she hopes her wrist will continue to improve.
“Right now it’s better,” she said during a pre-tournament press conference.
